This year’s Consumer Electronics Show has delighted tech enthusiasts with amazing pieces of technology in various fields which can improve our everyday lives. Qualcomm is no stranger to these events as they’ve announced a brand new Snapdragon 835 Processor.
Qualcomm has revealed an innovative and a lot faster processor. Their CEO, Steve Mollenkopf stated that the brand new Snapdragon 835 Chipset will be used in devices in order to immerse users into virtual reality. This only means that USB cabling will be a thing of the past when it comes to virtual reality connectivity. The guys from Qualcomm are looking forward to faster internet connections which will make streaming data a whole lot reckless in order to improve virtual reality capabilities.
Being such a state of the art and innovative piece of technology, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 chip is a big upgrade to their current Snapdragon 820 which powers top of the line Android devices which include the likes of Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, LG V20, HTC 10 and BlackBerry’s Android smartphone. An improved version of this chip entitled Snapdragon 821 currently powers Google’s Pixel lineup of smartphones.
5G internet connection is scheduled to arrive very soon and as stated by David Cole, co-founder of Qualcomm’s partner NextVR and will enlarge the means of which data is delivered by removing any hampers which causes streaming delays. By doing that motion distortions will be completely removed as users will have the ability to roam around VR without any glitches.
Qualcomm has also stated that they are working on a processor which weighs less than a AAA battery which will be present in drones to make tasks such as functioning in storerooms or answering to tragedies a whole lot easier.
Faster and better chip connections will allow these devices to run more and save battery power. The leading chip manufacturer is also in talks with OneWeb in order to deliver internet connections on an international level and also to create a lot of job openings within the United States.
