This year, fans waited anxiously for the release of Apple’s iPad Air 3, but they will have to wait a little longer, because Apple had other plans, which involved the launch of the new 12.9-inch iPad Pro version. According to reports, the iPad Air 3 is expected to be released in 2017, but it’s unclear when exactly.

According to Yibada, the iPad Air 3 will come with an Apple Pencil that it will allow it to compete with other rivals, and it will have a 4K screen that will support 3D Touch technology – firstly seen on the iPhone 6. Fans believe that some of the features from the iPhone 7 will make their way to the iPad Air 3, such as the dual camera set-up on the back, and it will the A9 processor of the iPhone 6, which will be backed by 3GB of RAM.

Another report comes from BGR, which claims that the iPad Air 3 will support touch ID, Bluetooth 4.2, a fingerprint scanner, a four-speaker audio system and lightning ports. Also, the upcoming tablet will be available in two variants of internal memories of 16GB and 32GB and the pricing will start at $610.

GameNGuide reported that the iPad Air will make its appearance in Q1 2017 alongside the iPad Pro 2, the latter being rumored to come with 10.5-inch and 10.9-inch screen variants. It seems that this premium 2-in-1 tablet will be bezel-less, it will be powered by an A10X chip and it will have an advanced display technology and improved audio quality.

On the other hand, if you’re interested in buying the 32 GB iPad Air 2 from Target, you will pay only $274, down to $399, which is the original price of the tablet. The same retailer is also offering the iPad Pro 9.7-inch for $449 and the iPad mini 2 for $199.79.
