Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is out!

In the Taiwan market. But it won’t be long before it reaches the shores of the US and other parts of the world. We can all use a budget-friendly smartphone with premium features, and the unlocked version of Xiaomi Technology’s latest smartphone is just what the world needs.

Since its latest offering was launched in March of this year, the company claims to have shipped over 100,000 Redmi Note 3 in Taiwan, with additional monthly shipments. Based on the Note series alone, Xiaomi has shipped a total of over 400,000 units in Taiwan since 2013.

Premium hardware

The Redmi Note 4 features a MediaTek Helio X20 10-core processor, 3GB RAM and an expandable internal storage of up to 128GB via MicroSD card. 5.5-inch multi-touch IPS LCD display screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920p. It has a 5-MP front camera, and 13-MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, Phase Detection Auto Focus, digital zoom, geo-tagging, and other functional features. Its 4,100 mAh battery supports fast charging.

Two variants



The Redmi Note 4 is available in 16GB and 64GB versions, with the former more affordable than the latter. Your smartphone will have the same features with only a minor difference. If you can call a 48-GB difference as such.

Connectivity options 

Dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2 and OTG support lets you connect with other devices and online. It also offers 2G/3G/4G connectivity options. Sharing and transferring files won’t be a problem. And you can connect to the internet, regardless of the network available.

Expensive design

The Redmi Note 4 looks similar to the Redmi Pro with a unibody design made of 2.5D curved glass and metal. It only 6.17 ounces, and has a dimension that offers easy grasp and grip. It’s not too big nor too small. It is available in Gold, Dark Grey and Light Silver. This model is shipped with Android 6.0 Marshmallow and MIUI 8 interface.

While the Taiwan market is enjoying the latest model in the Note series, the Indian market is likely to experience the opposite. Rumor has it that Redmi Note 4 may not hit Indian stores.
