While it’s very easy nowadays to take an awesome picture of something just by using the camera of a high-end smartphone, the fact is that if you really want to call yourself a photographer you have to own an actual camera that offers a wide variety lenses and camera specific options, like Canon.

If you already own a Canon camera and are an avid photographer, you should know that the latest lens to come out is the Canon EF 70 -300mm f/4-5.6 IS II USM and it apparently sports Nano USM technology designed for near silent or high speed autofocusing in both the video and the still modes. The device’s lens also comes with four stop image stabilization and a new LCD info display.

According to Canon USA president and COO, Yuichi Ishizuka, the brand new lens aims to help photographers achieve the most amazing photos or videos possible. He also insisted that the Canon EF 70 -300mm f/4-5.6 IS II USM lens will definitely help them realize their artistic vision.

This is the second lens Canon has designed using NANO USM technology – a type of tech that combines an ultrasonic motor for high-speed autofocusing during a still photo shoot and a stepping motor for quiet video AF.

Apart from these features, the lens will also come with an UD lens that will help reduce chromatic problems and render outstanding hi-res images, a circular aperture of 9 blades that will render gorgeous backgrounds and a manual focus adjustment option while the lens is in autofocus mode.

The Canon EF 70 -300mm f/4-5.6 IS II USM will be launched sometime in November 2016 and it’s priced at $549.99 on Amazon. Of, course, based on what shop you choose to buy from, you may notice that the price differs slightly. For example, it costs $549 on Adorama and B&H.
