The console versions of Minecraft have just received a new mini-game for games to test out; the new mode is named “Tumble” and is based on the popular Spleef gamemode which the PC community loves.

Up to eight players run around the arena and need to knock each other into the lava beneath the arena; this is done by destroying the blocks that form the arena floor. Each arena for Tumble is randomly generated and could contain multiple level or hazards to avoid. There are currently two variations of this gamemode which are both based on the PC version of Spleef; one version has players use snowballs to destroy blocks and the other demands that players use a shovel to remove blocks.

Battle mode has seen a few modifications also with Battle Map Pack 3 being released to added three new maps to the game; the new Battle Map Pack is available in the PlayStation and Xbox Stores.
