The Columbia branch of Samsung has just announced that there will be a new upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 which is scheduled for release in September 2016.
The launch of the Tab S3 tablet will coincide with the launch of the Galaxy Note 7 in European countries. Supposedly, Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will be released at the IFA event which will be held in Berlin starting with the 2nd of September.
A day before IFA, Samsung has scheduled a press conference where it’s presumed to unveil the Gear S3 Smartwatch, according to TechTimes. Some tech analysts believe that this would be a great opportunity to launch the Tab S3 and it’s very possible that Samsung will do so.
The Samsung post did not reveal much about the upcoming tablet, only that it will be powered by a chipset with greater capacity and sport a new and more interactive OS. It’s possible that the upcoming device may not be very different in design or the majority of specs from the previous model.
According to various rumors, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 is believed to sport an 8 inch AMOLED screen that will render images at a resolution of 1,536 x 2,048 px. It is said to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 652 processor and to have 3 GB or RAM and 32 GB of native storage space that can be expanded via a microSD to 128 GB.
As for the cameras, the device is supposed to have an 8MP rear one and a 2MP front one and to come with Android Marshmallow straight out of the box. Lastly, it’s rumored to run on a huge 4,000 mAh battery.
Other rumors about the device state that while it may come in an 8 inch display variant, it’s also possible that there will by a bigger 9.7 inch one as well.
