WhatsApp developers have worked tirelessly for this app and, for their efforts, they have come up with WhatsApp 2.16.208 Beta – a release for Android smartphones.

Most people have come to expect a new feature to be released whenever a new WhatsApp version has been released. Bad news for users though. The Olympic Games emoji was removed. Reports suggested developers would have added an Olympics Games emoji in August.

The installation file – WhatsApp 2.16.208 APK – is 35KB larger than the previous file. Its manifest.mf and whatsapp.sf files have been altered. The e1611.png file (Olympic Games emoji) was removed. The latest app version is in response to fixes and improvements in stability. It’s believed these “improvements” will allow for a smoother running app with fewer bugs to contend with.

How To Install The Latest WhatsApp Version On An Android Smartphone

Before a person can attain the latest WhatsApp version from the Google Play Store, they need to become a WhatsApp beta tester. They’ll need to visit the WhatsApp website to sign up with the “Become A Tester” button. Once done, they can search for the WhatsApp 2.16.208 version, download and install it onto their smartphone.

Special Note: This is a beta WhatsApp version, which means the chances of finding problems with it are high. However, developers will work on fixing and addressing them when the app is released. People are encouraged to report bugs to developers so they can be addressed.
