We’ve already talked about the power of the newest Nvidia Geforce GTX 1080. But hey, is there something else we’ve maybe missed?
Yes – it’s the other model of the most powerful graphics card label – the GTX 1070 which comes at a lower price, but definitely doesn’t compromise on any factor of the gaming quality.
Nvidia Geforce GTX 1070 Review
Ever since the official announcement by Nvidia, the GTX 1080 model has been the most popular novelty in the gaming world mostly because of its next-level features found at a lower price than any of the previous models on their first announcement.
However, the GTX 1070 offers a lot more features, some of which include a smaller die size, top-shelf architecture and more efficient operation – and all of this at a lower price.
It’s not difficult to understand that the GTX 1070 lives in the shadow of the GTX 1080 model. However, the 1070 model definitely keeps up the pace with the former flagship – coming at less than half the cost.
How Does The Geforce GTX 1070 Perform?
Although it is a less powerful card than the Geforce GTX 1080, the 1070 model is ‘the baby brother’ and comes with a similar design on the outside. However, its inside components are a bit different, with the vapor chamber cooling system being replaced with a heat pipe.
Other diffferences include the CUDA cores, the fewer texture units (120 vs. the 160 in the 1080 model), the slower clock speeds (1506 MHz vs. the 1607 MHz in the 1080 model) and a 8 GB GDDR5 memory, 2 gigabytes less than the GTX 1080 model.
Despite these differences, the GTX 1070 still runs on Pascal and comes with all the novelties from Nvidia’s new graphics card technology. It is able to sync the old games and make them run faster and ensure proper speed and top-quality graphics on newer games as well.
Why The GeForce GTX 1070 Is Definitely A Great Choice
Even if you are a hardcore gamer, the GTX 1070 model is a great fit – both saving you money and upgrading your gaming experience. And although it might not be as advanced as the GTX 1080 model, it is still a graphics card packed with a next-gen GPU technology at an affordable price.
Surpassing the 60 frames per second target on every game thrown at it and performing great on the 1920 x 1080 scores, the GTX 1070 is a great bang for the buck if you are looking for a new graphics card to ramp up your gaming.
We can’t wait for 10th June to come.
