There are many people who are loyal to Apple’s products and they’re willing to invest a lot of money on a laptop. And the upcoming MacBook Pro won’t be cheap, but it will be worth its price and Gizmodo brings news about the new model.
According to this blog, the MacBook Pro will get major revamp, will be thinner, lighter and will have an OLED touch bar placed above the keyboard, where are located the function buttons. It will have a secondary screen (touch sensitive) where users will find all kinds of shortcuts. In addition, the laptop will have a fingerprint scanner (Touch ID), USB-C and Thunderbolt 3.
Everybody on Twitter is excited about Apple’s next release. It could be the best alternative to Microsoft’s Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book convertible tablets and other Windows 10 laptops such as Dell’s XPS 13. However, the Surface Book had some bugs that have been fixed and it even has better specs than the MacBook Pro. Laptop Magazine thinks that “it’s all about the speed. In fact, Microsoft claims that the Core i5 or Core i7-powered Surface Book is twice as fast as the MacBook Pro. The notebook also has a PCIe SSD, which is at least twice as fast as traditional, SATA-based drives, and comes in capacities ranging from 128GB to 1TB.”
On the other hand, Dell updated the XPS 13 and it’s considered the best notebooks of 2015. “The original won our Editor’s Choice award, impressing us with its excellent battery life, beautiful display and slim dimensions. Now, with the release of Intel’s new 6th-generation Core processors, it has received an internal refresh that ensures it isn’t left behind by the competition,” has added Laptop Magazine.
As for the MacBook Pro, the laptop is expected to be powered by the sixth generation Skylake processors, which will bring a significant performance improvement and will make it significantly faster than the previous model. Also, rumors suggest that the GPU will be made by AMD and will be based on Global Foundries 14 nm FinFET processor node, while others believe that Apple could go for the larger 16 nm FinFET Plus processor node.
