In this article we’ll compare two new smartphones. One of them was announced last month and it’s called LG Stylo 2 (its price will be $170), while the other will hit the stores this month and it will have a gigantic display with a diagonal of 6.44-inch. The latter is called Xiaomi Mi Max (it will cost around $220) and it has better specs than its rival, but more about the two devices we’ll tell you below.

Designs

The LG Stylo 2 measures 155 x 79.5 x 7.4 mm and weights 144 grams. The phone is the successor of the G Stylo / G4 Stylus (2015) so it has the same faux metal back, but with a metal frame and stylus and it has physical buttons below the camera, likewise the previous LG G models. Unfortunately, we don’t have any information about how much the upcoming Xiaomi Mi Max will measure and weight, but we can assure you that it will look like the Mi Note, featuring an all metal body and will have a fingerprint scanner in the top center, while the rear camera will be located in the upper left corner.

Displays

The LG Stylo 2 has an IPS LCD display of 5.7-inch that supports a resolution of 1280×720 pixels at 258 ppi. The Xiaomi Mi Max comes with a bigger IPS LCD display of 6.44-inch that supports a higher resolution of 1920×1080 pixels at 342 ppi and it’s protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4.

Processors, Graphics Cards & RAM

The LG Stylo 2 features a much weaker Qualcomm MSM8916 Snapdragon 410 chipset supporting a quad-core Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 1.2GHz, an Adreno 306 graphics card and 2GB of RAM. On the other hand, the Xiaomi Mi Max has a Qualcomm MSM8956 Snapdragon 650 chipset, a dual-core Cortex A72 CPU clocked at 1.8GHz and a quad-core Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 1.4GHz, an Adreno 510 graphics card and 2GB or 3GB of RAM.

Storages

The LG Stylo 2 has an internal storage of 16GB, which you can expand up to 128GB using a microSD card. The Xiaomi Mi Max comes in two internal storage variants of 16GB (2GB of RAM variant) and 32GB (3GB of RAM variant), but you can expand up to 200GB using a microSD card.

Cameras

The LG Stylo 2 sports a primary camera of 13MP that features LED flash, autofocus, geo-tagging, panorama, HDR, face detection, touch focus and a secondary camera of 5MP. The Xiaomi Mi Max comes with a primary camera of 16MP that offers dual-LED flash, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama, HDR and a secondary camera of 5MP.
