The new WhatsApp 2.16.54 update has been released and it comes with new features and some small changes to the user interface of the conversations. From now on, when you will long tap on a message that you’ve sent, the information icon will no longer appear at the top side and instead, you’ll see a “3 vertical points” button and once you will tap on it, you will be informed if the message has been read (and when) or not.
HINT: The developers have also added new icons and files, which allow us to respond or quote messages, but this feature has not been activated yet.
The WhatsApp 2.16.54 (APK) file has been increased with 33KB, it has 410 modified files, 2 deleted thumbnail files, and 6 new files such as: “semi_white_circle.xml”, “conversation_row_location_right_large.xml”, “quote_message_in_popup.xml”, “quoted_message.xml”, “input_kbd_white.png” and “ic_action_reply.png”.
WhatsApp 2.16.54: How To Install On Your Android Device
WhatsApp 2.16.54 is currently in BETA, but it can be installed directly from the Google Play Store, using the Android Beta-Testing Program which was released a few weeks ago. In order to become a WhatsApp BETA tester on Android OS, head to this page and tap on the “BECOME A TESTER” button. Then, open the Google Play Store, search for WhatsApp 2.16.54 and install it on your Android smartphone.
You can also install the WhatsApp 2.16.54 on your Android smartphone without joining the BETA testing program. So, you can do this by downloading the WhatsApp 2.16.54 APK (installation) file from whatsapp.com/android and enabling the “Unknown Sources” option from your device’s Settings > Applications or Settings > Security. Finally, go to the location where you have saved the APK file and tap on it to start the installation process of the latest WhatsApp BETA version on your Android device.
