The Vivo V3Max and Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro are two smartphones that are expected to be released this month and they were created by two Chinese companies who are offering affordable devices with great specifications. The pricing for the Redmi 3 Pro starts at $226 on its official website, while the Vivo V3Max will be sold for $360 in India.

Designs

The Vivo V3Max measures 153.9×77.1×7.6mm and weights 168 grams. On the other hand, the Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro is thicker and lighter as it measures 139.3×69.6×8.5mm and weights 144 grams. Both devices have full metal bodies with a similar design, only that the V3Max has its rear camera in the upper left corner, while Xiaomi has placed it in the top center. Also, both handsets have a fingerprint scanner on their backs.

Displays

The Vivo V3Max comes with an IPS LCD display of 5.5-inch that supports a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels at 401 ppi. The Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro has a smaller IPS LCD display of 5-inch that supports a lower resolution of 1280×720 pixels at 294 ppi.

The Vivo V3Max features a Qualcomm MSM8976 Snapdragon 652 chipset with an octa-core processor formed from a quad-core Cortex A72 CPU clocked at 1.8GHz and a quad-core Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 1.4GHz, an Adreno 510 graphics card and 4GB of RAM. The Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro has a Qualcomm MSM8939v2 Snapdragon 616 chipset supporting an octa-core processor formed from a quad-core Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 1.5GHz and a quad-core Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 1.2GHz, an Adreno 405 graphics card and 3GB of RAM.

Storages

Both devices come with an internal memory of 32GB, which can be expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card.

The Vivo V3Max sports a primary camera of 13MP that features LED flash, autofocus, geo-tagging, HDR, panorama, face detection, touch focus and a secondary camera of 8MP. The Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro comes with a primary camera of 13MP that features LED flash, autofocus, touch focus, face detection, HDR, panorama, geo-tagging and a secondary camera of 5MP.

Batteries

Both devices come with non-removable batteries, but the Vivo V3Max houses a 3000 mAh cell that is easily outperformed by the 4100 mAh battery of the Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro.
