HTC One M7 receives the Android 6.0 Marshmallow via CyanogenMod [unofficial] CM13 custom ROM

We remind you that earlier this year, HTC stopped supporting the HTC One M7 device, as the phone has already completed its two year cycle, the last update that the HTC One M7 has received was the Android 5.0.2 Lollipop in February 2015. However, you can still update this device to the Android 6.0 Marshmallow, as long as you use a custom one.

How To Install A Custom Rom On Galaxy S3 and HTC One M7 (or any Android device)

First of all, you will need to download the custom ROM for your device. For the Galaxy S3, you will have to download the Haxynox Android Marshmallow custom ROM zip file. On the other hand, for the HTC One M7 you will need to download the Android 6.0 Marshmallow CyanogenMod [unofficial] CM13 custom ROM zip, at the same time, you will need to download the Google Apps zip file.

HINT: We suggest you to save the zip files on the desktop of your computer so that you can find them easier.

After downloading the zip files, you will need to copy them to your Android device, connect your Android device to your computer via an USB cable and copy them to your mobile device.

Now, you will need to turn off your Android device and boot it into recovery mode by pressing and holding the Home, Power and Volume up buttons. While in recovery mode, you will need to clear the device’s memory by selecting “wipe data/factory reset” option and choosing “wipe cache partition”.

Finally, you will just need to get back to the main recovery screen and tap on the “install zip from sdcard”. First, you will need to select the custom ROM zip file and after that the Google Apps zip file, when both of these two files are installed, get to the main recovery screen and select “reboot system now”.

Enjoy using the custom Android 6.0 Marshmallow on your Galaxy S3 or HTC One M7!
