Huawei, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer, has released a few devices that are ready to get the new Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. It seems that the Huawei smartphones that will get the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS are: P8, P8 Max, P8 Youth Edition, Mate S, Maimang 4 (also known as G8), G7 Plus, Honor Play 4C, Honor 4X, X2, 6 Plus, Honor 7, Honor 7i and Mate 7.

However, you should keep in mind that only the devices from the Chinese region are eligible for the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. With other words, the international variant of the devices we’ve mentioned above will be able to receive the update a bit later.

When it comes to devices from India, Huawei has confirmed that its Honor 7 will get the first beta version of the Android 6.0 Marshmallow in January 2016 and the public version will be released 30 days later.

Huawei has also confirmed that the Android 6.0 Marshmallow will be released for Honor 6, Honor 4X, Honor 6 Plus a sometime in March 2016. We think that Huawei will announce other devices that will receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow but this will most likely happen sometime in early 2016. So, if you didn’t see your device in this list, don’t lose your hope, as there is a high chance that Huawei will announce that your device will receive the latest Android OS version.

The Android 6.0 Marshmallow comes with many new features such as fingerprint support, a new intuitive Now on Tap feature, a new Doze application that will improve the battery life of your device, applications control and more.

According to Google, Doze will extend the battery life of your device by at least 30%, depending on your device internal hardware.
