If you received an important text message on your iPhone, and you need to forward it to somebody, there is an easy way to do it without retyping the entire text or copying and pasting it to another chat box.
The easier option is to forward the text with just a few taps of your finger. Here’s how to forward text messages on your iPhone.
First, you need to open Messages and go to the conversation you want to forward. Look for the text message and double tap on it. A small pop-up will appear above the text bubble, and you will see the words “Copy” and “More”. Another way to make the pop-up appear is to press the message and hold it for a second. Tap “More”.
You will also notice that each text bubble will have an empty circle next to it and the message you just tapped will have a blue tick inside the circle. Tap the arrow that appears in the lower right corner of the screen. A new conversation window will be opened with the forwarded message in it. All you have to do is type in the name or number of the person you want to send the message to. Once you have typed the recipient, just tap Send, and your message will begin sending.
Forward Entire Conversations
Sometimes, a single text is not enough, and you need to send your entire conversation to someone else. Be it important messages from a client that you need to forward to your boss or an entire conversation between you and your crush that you want to show your friends. To forward multiple messages on iPhone, just go back and repeat the first step above. Instead of sending that single message, you can tap the empty circles next to the messages you want to include. Once you have finished selecting all the messages you want to forward, tap the arrow icon on the lower right corner to send it.
Not Just Messages
It’s not just messages you can forward using your iPhone – you can also forward images and videos that you received in iMessage. Just repeat the process of forwarding text messages as they are the same. You can also forward messages or media to multiple people at once. Once you selected all the messages, you wish to forward, just type all the names of the people you want to send it to, separated by a comma.
If all the contacts you send the message to are using iMessage, the conversation will become a group message and all the replies will be sent to that group. On the other hand, if not everyone is using iMessage, their reply will appear individually in separate chat windows. iMessage is enabled when you are connected to the internet using Wi-Fi or 3G connection. You can enable and disable your iMessage from your iPhone’s Settings app. You can also choose to send and receive iMessage using your email address.
