Recently, Apple released a new iOS 8.4.1 version for iPhones, iPads and iPod touch devices, but this article concerns the jailbreakers who jailbroke their devices running on iOS 8.4, 8.3, 8.2 or 8.1.3.
When Apple released beta versions of iOS 8.4.1, it was rumored that the TaiG jailbreak exploits were patched in iOS 8.4.1 and the jailbreak fans were warned to not upgrade to the new version until there was a confirmation for a new jailbreak.
Instead of doing this mistake and to not be able to jailbreak their devices, the users were advised to stick to their old version of iOS. Later, it was confirmed that Apple patched 8 exploits in iOS 8.4.1 which were used by TaiG and PP, and in addition, there were fixed forty other security bugs.
But this wasn’t the end of the war. Meanwhile, while the jailbreak community downgraded to iOS 8.4, some veteran jailbreakers came with an unofficial version of the evasi0n 8.4.1 jailbreak (Windows on iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch).
If you’re interested in installing the evasi0n 8.4.1 jailbreak on your device, you must follow these steps, but we don’t want to be held liable if you damage your phone or tablet during or after the jailbreak installation.
This jailbreak is compatible with the following devices: iPhone 6, 6 Plus, 5, 5s, 5c, 4, 4s; iPad Air, Air 2, Mini, Mini 2, iPad 2, 3, 4; iPod Touch 5g and iPod Touch 6g.
You will need a computer that runs on at least Windows XP or Mac OS X 10.7. Get the latest version of iTunes for Windows or Mac and make sure your iDevice runs on iOS 8.4 through iOS 8.4.1. Connect the device to your computer using a USB cable and before proceeding with the installation, you should back up your data and settings via iTunes. You will need to get the specific IPSW firmware file for your device, so you must do a simple search on google. iTunes will proceed with the restoration process and after it completes, the device will reboot automatically.
You will download Evasi0n tool for iOS 8.4.1 and connect your phone or tablet to your computer, in case you haven’t connected it yet. Launch the tool and let it auto-detect your device, the click on the Jailbreak button. Be patient until the evasi0n 8.4.1 tool does it job and to complete the jailbreak process just follow the onscreen instructions.
